Internal Medicine

Internal Medicine Department admits and provide care to adult patients with various medical conditions. Patients are taken care by Internists, Medical Officers, Registered Nurses and Healthcare Auxiliaries. Management include investigations, treatment and observation until discharge. Internal Medicine exist to support or work collaboratively with other units mainly Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Nephrology, Oncology and other sub specialties such as Cardiology, Rheumatology, Dermatology etc. Internal Medicine runs Medical Outpatient Department (OPD) where the Internists consult, review  and discharge or  admit patients who are eligible for admission. At maximum capacity we have 130 beds (65 Female Medical and 65 Male Medical.) Our levels of care (LOC) vary from high care, general beds, isolation, VIP and private rooms.
