A New Era for Paediatric Haematology Oncology

Friday, 15 March 2024: a new era, a resolute step forward in enhancing healthcare for our children in Botswana.

The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding between Sir Ketumile Masire Teaching Hospital, represented by Mr. Clifford Seleka- Caretaker Commissioning Manager, and Baylor Botswana, represented by Professor Mogomotsi Matshaba, Executive Director of the Botswana-Baylor Children's Clinical Centre for Excellence Trust, for the transitioning of Paediatric Haematology and Oncology services from Princess Marina Hospital to SKMTH on the 18 March 2024.

Together, we embark on a shared mission to provide the most comprehensive and specialised care possible to our youngest patients battling cancers.

The collaboration with Baylor Botswana, renowned for its paediatric healthcare expertise, brings invaluable knowledge and resources. By combining our strengths, we aim to:
