Paediatric Ward

Paediatric ward is a 68 beds unit, comprising of paediatric High care, medical, surgical and haematology oncology units.The ward admit children who needs inpatient monitoring from 29 days to the age of 12 years. Paediatric  High care has 6 beds and admits acutely ill children who needs close monitoring, oxygen therapy or CPAP. Paediatric general  (medical) has 18 beds and admits sick but stable patients who needs close monitoring. Paediatric Haematology/oncology has 22 beds and admits children with cancer or haematology conditions. Paediatric surgical is a 22 beds units and admits children who needs surgical intervention. There is also Paediatric OPD (out patient department) which is in ground floor , children seen in paeds OPD by a specialist paediatrician are those who are referred by general practitioners or other paediatricians or self referrals. Paediatric OPD also provide under five clinic services including vaccinations and baby monitoring clinic.
